Hot waffles for breakfast were a delight, and the nearby Snake Bite Brewery was a great spot for a cozy meal. The friendly reception staff, especially Michelle, added to the homey feel, making it a memorable stay.

The room had poor ventilation with a single hatch-style window opening into the next hotel, so privacy was a challenge. The heating setup poked a bit in the back, and the dated decor hinted at a need for an upgrade, but the atmosphere still managed to shine through.

The apartment was spacious with great mountain views, but the WiFi was super slow.

The warm scones delivered daily were a delightful surprise, and the convenient on-site laundry facilities made our stay incredibly comfortable.

The Terrace in Franz Josef really impressed me with its convenient location right near the town center. Parking was right outside the room, making it easy to unload luggage. The interior was spacious, and the large lounge provided enough room for our group. I loved the kitchen area, which made dining in a breeze. The bathroom facilities were clean and well-maintained, adding to the overall comfort. However, the lighting in the lounge was quite dim. it could definitely use some improvement. Also, the couch wasn't very comfortable for lounging. The complimentary glow worm walking tour offered was a unique and enjoyable experience.

We soaked in the Glacier Hot Pools and explored the nearby Fox Glacier Glow Worm Forest. The staff were super friendly and recommended great activities like kayaking and horse riding. The location is perfect for walking around town.

We faced some inconvenience with only one bathroom for four adults. It would have been nice to have another.

Couple's cozy retreat

The location is fantastic right next to the Kiwi conservation centre. It was a bigger unit than we expected and the king size bed was so comfy that we didn’t want to leave. Plus, the staff were fantastic they helped us whenever we needed.

It wasn't exactly a bargain but the quality justified the price.

We had a fantastic stay in the spacious apartment with our large family and dogs. The central location made it easy to head out for nearby trails, and we loved the cozy electric fireplace to warm up after exploring the Glacier Hot Pools. The mountain views were stunning!

It was just a fitting option for a quick stopover in Franz Josef with great value for money. The staff recommended a lovely walking trail that made our day. Try to avoid rooms near the powered sites if you're sensitive to noise.

We enjoyed a two-night stay in a spacious two-bedroom apartment. The kids had plenty of room to play, and the bathroom was brilliant, really well-designed. The location was perfect for walking to nearby restaurants and hot pools, which made our trip even better. However, a little more kitchen storage would have been helpful for meal prep.
